Corsair TC80 Gaming Chair Launches With $199.99 Price Tag

Corsair has launched the new Corsair TC80 Gaming Chair, a model aimed at gamers, creators, and everyday users who spend long hours at a desk. The chair focuses on comfort, adjustability, and durability, while keeping the price below Corsair’s premium gaming chair options.

The Corsair TC80 features a wide, flat seat with thick padding and breathable fabric upholstery. Leatherette accents add to the overall finish, while a detachable neck pillow gives users the option of extra support during longer sessions.

Adjustable Design and Durability

The chair offers 100 mm of height adjustment and a reclining range from 90° to 115°. The backrest can be locked at the user’s preferred angle instead of being limited to a few preset positions. Recline tension can also be adjusted to suit different preferences.

Its self-leveling armrests are designed to stay in a comfortable position when the backrest is reclined. Corsair has also equipped the chair with a steel five-star base, 50 mm casters, and a Class 4 steel gas lift.

Corsair says the TC80 has passed more than 30 safety and durability tests and meets the BIFMA X5.1 and EN 1335 standards. The testing included 100,000 seat durability cycles, 300,000 tilt mechanism cycles, 60,000 armrest cycles, and several load and stability tests.

The company also tested the chair with a 136 kg load dropped onto the center of the seat, while the backrest was tested with 1,001N of force. These tests are intended to check how the chair handles repeated use and heavy loads.

The Corsair TC80 Gaming Chair is available now in a black fabric and leatherette finish through Corsair’s authorized retailers, distributors, and webstore.

Pricing starts at $199.99 in the US, while European pricing is set at €179.90 and the UK price is £169.99.

The Corsair TC80 joins Corsair’s existing TC100 RELAXED and higher-end TC500 LUXE gaming chairs, giving buyers another option in the company’s lineup.

For its price, the TC80 combines a large padded seat, adjustable recline, breathable upholstery, and a steel-based construction, making it a straightforward option for gaming and everyday desk use.
