Acer has introduced the new Acer Nitro 16 Pro gaming laptop, bringing high-end AMD and NVIDIA hardware to its 16-inch gaming lineup. The laptop is also known as the global Nitro 16 (AN16-A91).
The new machine comes with AMD’s Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti laptop GPU. This combination gives the laptop plenty of power for modern games and other demanding tasks.
The currently listed configuration includes 32GB of DDR5 SO-DIMM memory and a 1TB SSD. It is priced at 22,999 yuan, with government subsidies available on top of the listed price. Sales will officially start on August 25 at 10:00 AM.
Fast 240Hz display and powerful cooling
The Nitro 16 Pro uses a 16-inch display with a 2560 × 1600 resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. The panel can reach 500 nits of brightness and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, making it suitable for both gaming and content work.
Acer has also fitted the laptop with a dual-fan cooling setup and five heat pipes. Its four-in, four-out airflow design is built to move hot air away from the hardware and help maintain performance during long gaming sessions.
The system can deliver up to 215W of total performance, putting it firmly in the high-performance gaming laptop category.
Plenty of useful features
The laptop has a brushed metal finish on the A-side, along with a gradient-lit Acer logo. There is also an additional M.2 slot, allowing users to add another SSD later.
For gaming, Acer includes a four-zone RGB keyboard with 2.0mm key travel. The laptop also features an FHD IR webcam, which supports Windows Hello-style face recognition.
Connectivity includes a 2.5GbE wired network connection and Wi-Fi 6E. There are two USB4 ports along with three USB-A ports, giving users several options for connecting accessories and external storage.
A large 92Wh battery is also built into the system.
With a Ryzen 9 9955HX3D CPU, RTX 5070 Ti graphics, a fast 240Hz display and up to 215W of performance, the Acer Nitro 16 Pro looks like a serious option for gamers who want desktop-class power in a laptop.
