Battlefield 6 player count hits five-month high with Season 4

Battlefield 6 just had its best week in months, and it’s all down to the new season.

Battlefield 6 Season Four landed on all platforms with Tsuru Reef, a new map that’s genuinely gorgeous, though not everyone’s sold on it. Some players reckon it’s too open compared to the game’s other maps. Still, that debate hasn’t stopped people turning up in numbers.

On Steam, concurrent players hit 73,258 in the last 24 hours, the highest that figure’s been since mid-February. That matters because Battlefield’s been on a slow downward slide like most live-service shooters tend to go through, so a bump like this is a proper signal that the new content is landing.

Twitch tells the same story. Peak viewers climbed to 51,500, the best showing since March, when the game hit 52,000. People clearly wanted to see what the new season brings, whether that’s the naval combat, the new weapons, or just Tsuru Reef itself.

The real test comes later in the season when Wake Island returns. If that pulls in numbers anywhere close to this, EA might actually have turned a corner.
