LG launches impressive 34 inch UltraGear OLED gaming monitor with webOS

LG launches the 34 inch UltraGear OLED gaming monitor with 240Hz refresh rate, webOS, cloud gaming support, and a curved WQHD display.

LG has introduced the new 34GX90SB-W UltraGear OLED gaming monitor, bringing together fast gaming performance and smart entertainment features in one display. The new 34-inch monitor is designed for gamers who want a large curved screen, smooth gameplay, and easy access to streaming and cloud gaming services without needing a separate PC or console.

The LG UltraGear OLED 34GX90SB-W features a 34-inch with a WQHD resolution of 3440 x 1440 and a 21:9 aspect ratio. The display offers a sharp image with deep black levels, vibrant colours, and a 1.5 million to 1 contrast ratio. LG says the monitor covers 98.5% of the DCI-P3 colour space, making it suitable for both gaming and entertainment.

One of the main highlights is its fast 240Hz refresh rate and extremely low 0.03ms response time. This combination helps deliver smooth gameplay with reduced motion blur, making it ideal for competitive gaming. The monitor also supports NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technologies to reduce screen tearing and stuttering during fast-moving scenes.

LG has equipped the UltraGear OLED monitor with its webOS platform, allowing users to stream movies, TV shows, and cloud games directly from the display. Popular cloud gaming services, including Xbox Cloud Gaming, GeForce NOW, and Amazon Luna, can be accessed through the LG Gaming Portal without requiring a gaming console.

The monitor is powered by LG’s alpha 8 AI Processor 4K Gen3, which automatically improves picture and sound quality in real time. AI Picture Pro enhances image clarity and detail, while AI Sound helps improve voice clarity and important in-game audio cues.

For a more immersive experience, the display uses a dramatic 800R curve that wraps around the user’s field of view. LG also includes MLA+ technology, which increases OLED brightness to deliver stronger highlights and improved visibility.

Connectivity options include DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB ports, and USB-C with up to 65W power delivery. The monitor can handle WQHD resolution at up to 240Hz through both DisplayPort and HDMI connections.

Additional gaming features include Dynamic Action Sync, Black Stabilizer, Crosshair mode, and the LG Switch app, which allows users to customise display settings and screen layouts. The stand supports height, tilt, and swivel adjustments for improved comfort during long gaming sessions.
