Marathon breaks into the US top 5 Best-Selling games of March 2026

Marathon

Bungie’s extraction shooter Marathon has made an impressive debut on the sales charts, landing at number four in the United States best-selling games for March 2026, according to new data published by Circna.

The monthly report, which tracks physical and most digital sales across major platforms, saw six new releases break into the top 20 alongside two returning titles. Marathon’s fourth-place finish is a strong commercial opening for one of the year’s most anticipated games, slotting in just behind WWE 2K26 and above Pokémon: Pokopia.

MLB The Show 26 takes the top spot

Leading the overall chart was MLB The Show 26, which claimed first place despite only being available for two weeks during the tracking period, and without Nintendo and Xbox digital sales factored into Circna’s data. February’s chart-topper, Resident Evil: Requiem, dropped to second.

A promising start for Bungie

Marathon’s chart performance will come as a relief to Bungie, which has faced intense scrutiny heading into launch. A top-five debut, even amid stiff competition from major sports titles, suggests the game found a sizeable audience out of the gate.

Whether it holds its position in April’s rankings remains to be seen.
