Noctua has officially launched the black version of its popular NF-A12x25 G2 120 mm cooling fan. The new chromax.black models bring the same strong cooling and low noise performance as the original version, but now with a clean all-black look for modern PC builds.

The new fan is available in both single-fan and dual-fan packs. The dual-fan version comes with a small speed difference between both fans to reduce unwanted vibration and humming sounds. This makes it a good choice for push-pull setups and large water cooling radiators.
According to Noctua CEO Roland Mossig, the company is very happy with the response to the NF-A12x25 G2 since its release in June 2025. The fan has already received more than 70 awards and recommendations from hardware websites, magazines, and YouTube channels around the world.

The NF-A12x25 G2 uses a new blade design and advanced engineering to improve airflow and cooling efficiency while keeping noise levels low. It works well for both PC case airflow and radiator cooling. The fan also uses Noctua’s Sterrox liquid-crystal polymer material and features a very small 0.5 mm tip clearance for better performance.
The chromax.black version keeps all the premium features of the standard model while adding a stealthy black finish. Users can also customise the look further with optional coloured anti-vibration pads sold separately.
Noctua has also included its trusted SSO2 bearing technology, with a rated lifespan of over 150,000 hours. Like other premium Noctua products, the new fans come with a 6-year warranty.
