Star Wars Battlefront 3 might be on Disney’s radar, but a new rumour suggests the game is still at the “who will make it” stage.
According to a report from Electronic Games Monthly, spotted by Jeff Grubb, Lucasfilm has been reaching out to several studios to gauge interest in building the next game. Two names have reportedly come up in those conversations.
EA DICE and Bungie reportedly involved
The first is EA DICE. The studio made the last two Battlefront games, released in 2015 and 2017, so a return would continue that run.

The second is Bungie, which would be the less obvious choice. The Sony-owned developer has spent more than a decade working almost entirely on Destiny and, more recently, Marathon. It has also been through a rough few years, including mass layoffs.
Lucasfilm, EA and Bungie have not commented on the claims. If talks are happening, they are likely at an early point where no actual development has started. That puts any release at least a few years away, assuming Star Wars Battlefront 3 goes ahead at all.
