Pearl Abyss just gave Crimson Desert players an actual date to circle. Charting the Unknown, the game’s first big DLC, launches on October 15, and it’s already up for pre-order on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store for $25.
Pre-order now and you’ll get two exclusive cosmetics: the Charter’s Diving Set for Kliff and Oongka, and the Charter’s Light Diving Set for Damiane. Nice little bonus if you were already planning to buy in.

The headline addition is a proper home-building system in Pywel. You’ll get an upgraded building mode to design and personalise your own place, plus the ability to rent and manage facilities to grow your fortune and build relationships with the locals. It’s a solid push toward making Pywel feel lived-in rather than just a hub you pass through.
Story-wise, Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane each get new arcs involving a sinister force in the desert, political conflict, and a mystery buried under the ocean. And there’s a new seafaring layer too: players get their own boat to explore uncharted islands, hunt down underwater treasure, and dig through submerged ruins along the coast.

October 15 isn’t far off, so if Crimson Desert’s been sitting in your backlog, this might be the nudge to jump back in.
