Ubisoft could’ve used Rayman Legends Retold as an excuse to demand a GPU upgrade. Instead, it’s doing the opposite. The revamped platformer’s system requirements are out, and this is one of those rare cases where a remaster isn’t punishing you for wanting prettier visuals.
The catch is that you’ll need low graphics settings and the upscaler dialled to Quality, but honestly, for hardware that age, I’ll take it. Every tier from recommended upwards relies on the same Quality-mode upscaling logic, which also means Steam Deck and other handhelds should hold up fine using Performance or Ultra Performance modes.

Compare that to the original Rayman Legends, which barely needed a GPU at all, and it’s clear Retold isn’t asking for much considering the visual overhaul. NVIDIA DLSS support turns up on capable GPUs, alongside FSR and XeSS, though Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed which versions.
Rayman Legends Retold full system requirements
| Resolution | CPU | GPU | RAM | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1080p (Low) | Intel Core i3-8100 / AMD Ryzen 3100 | GTX 1660 / RX 5500 XT / Arc A580 | 8 GB | 33 GB |
| 1080p (Recommended) | Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | RTX 3070 / RX 5700 / Arc A750 | 16 GB | 33 GB |
| 1440p (2K) | Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | RTX 3070 / RX 6750 XT / Arc B580 | 16 GB | 33 GB |
| 4K | Intel Core i5-9400 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | RTX 4080 / RX 7900 XTX | 16 GB | 33 GB |
The 2K tier reusing the RTX 3070 is the bit that stands out to me. Ubisoft games have a reputation for demanding hardware you don’t own yet, so seeing “reasonable” attached to a 2026 platformer feels almost suspicious. I’m not complaining, though.
