Keychron Carbon 60 HE 8K launches with a carbon fiber design, magnetic switches, 8,000 Hz polling, Rapid Trigger, and adjustable actuation.

Keychron has introduced a new gaming keyboard that combines a lightweight carbon fiber body with fast magnetic switches and advanced gaming features. The new Keychron Carbon 60 HE 8K is a compact 60% keyboard designed for gamers who want fast response times, precise key control, and a premium build.

The keyboard is now available through Keychron’s official online store for $234.99. Its carbon fiber case, matching keycaps, and 8,000 Hz polling rate make it an interesting option for players looking for something different from traditional gaming keyboards.

Keychron Carbon 60 HE 8K Features a Lightweight Carbon Fiber Design

The Keychron Carbon 60 HE 8K uses forged carbon fiber for its case, keycaps, and internal plate. This gives the keyboard a consistent look while keeping its weight down to just 740 grams.

According to Keychron, its carbon fiber construction is 10 times more rigid than plastic, thanks to its 60% carbon fiber content. The company says this design delivers a solid and precise typing experience.

The keyboard uses a standard 60% layout, so it does not include a number pad, function row, dedicated arrow keys, or a separate navigation section. Users can access additional functions through key combinations and customize the layout using Keychron Launcher.

Its compact size and low weight could also make it a practical choice for gamers who travel with their gaming equipment or use a portable PC setup.

Fast Magnetic Switches and Advanced Gaming Features

The Keychron Carbon 60 HE 8K comes with the company’s Ultra-Fast Lime magnetic switches installed. It supports adjustable actuation from 0.1 mm to 3.5 mm, with adjustments as small as 0.005 mm. This allows users to set how far a key needs to travel before registering an input.

The keyboard also supports an 8,000 Hz polling rate, Rapid Trigger, Snap Key (SOCD), analog input, and dynamic keystrokes. These features give players more control over key response and can be useful in competitive games where quick movement and accurate inputs matter.

Keychron Launcher provides options for adjusting these settings, along with RGB lighting, macros, and keyboard layouts. Although Keychron promotes its own Lime switches, the keyboard can also work with other compatible N-pole magnetic switches.

The keycaps use a Cherry profile rather than the OSA or KSA profiles found on many other Keychron keyboards. Their legends are printed on the sides and do not shine through, keeping the top of the keyboard clean while allowing users to identify keys from the side.

For internal sound control, Keychron has included plate foam, bottom case foam, and a PET pad. The carbon fiber plate may also produce a sharper, more pronounced typing sound than softer keyboard materials.

Keychron Carbon 60 HE 8K Price and Availability

The Keychron Carbon 60 HE 8K is available now from Keychron’s official online store for $234.99. Its combination of carbon fiber construction, magnetic switches, and advanced input controls puts it in the premium gaming keyboard category.

The price is high for a 60% keyboard, but its unusual materials and extensive customization options help set it apart from more conventional models. Gamers who value a compact design, precise actuation settings, and a lightweight build may find it worth considering.
