ARC Raiders Riven Tides update: New map, enemy, items, and full patch notes

ARC Raiders‘ Riven Tides update has landed, and it’s easily the meatiest drop since early access began. The April 28 patch wraps up Embark Studios‘ four-month content roadmap, following Headwinds, Shrouded Sky, and Flashpoint, and it’s gone out with a bang.

New things in the update

Arc Raiders update’s headliner is the Riven Tides map itself, set along an abandoned western coastline in the Rust Belt. You’ll be picking through a derelict shoreline and a hotel called Panorama Azzurro, with the new Beachcombing map condition giving you reason to actually explore the beaches, grab the Dockmaster’s Detector and start digging.

There’s also a new enemy to worry about: the ARC Turbine. Embark are keeping its mechanics deliberately vague, describing it as a “unique fight” with serious defensive capabilities. Work it out yourself when you drop in.

New gear includes the Epic Powered Descender and Uncommon Crash Mat, both built around vertical movement. Skilled players should be able to get creative with them quickly.

Weapon economy gets a shake-up

The bigger systemic change is to weapons. Durability now scales properly with rarity, common guns degrade faster, legendaries hold up longer. Spawn rates on the map’s outskirts have been trimmed, and upgrading a weapon now repairs 25% of its max durability, which should take some of the sting out of the loop.

The Bettina got a solid buff (more damage, better dispersion control), while the Trigger ‘Nade has been reined in with delays between throws and triggers. The Photoelectric Cloak has also been hit hard on power drain, you’ll need to be much more deliberate with it.

Last Resort event

Running through 25 May, the Last Resort event tasks you with hunting miniature ship models across maps for Merits. Rewards include the Junior Outfit, Hydrologist backpack, new emotes, and 250 Raider Tokens.

It’s a big one. Worth diving back in.
