Just a few weeks back, CI Games confirmed the release platforms for Lords of the Fallen 2 at Summer Game Fest, but now all of that is gone. The CI Games CEO, Marek Tyminski, has announced on X that the sequel has been delayed and will now be released in Q1 of 2027.
Why Lords of the Fallen 2 was delayed
The main reason Lords of the Fallen 2 was delayed is due to an internal “Gameplay Feedback Team” that pointed out some areas that needed to be refined. So, as long as the game needs to be worked on to make the launch perfect, we can wait.
Another reason the game might be delayed is to avoid the Fall 2026 release window. If you guys just give it a look, you will clearly understand how every other game is trying not to face GTA 6‘s launch head-on.

Lords of the Fallen II Development Update.
Lords of the Fallen II is now set for a Q1 2027 release window.
As development progresses, we have worked closely with the Gameplay Feedback Team, a dedicated group of seasoned Souls-like veterans within our Launch Creative Team. Their valuable ongoing input, combined with the team’s vision, has identified meaningful opportunities to further refine and strengthen the overall experience.
These enhancements will benefit from additional integration, iteration, and polishing time, enabling the team to deliver the highest possible quality at launch.
This updated release window also strategically positions Lords of the Fallen II outside of a highly competitive holiday period, ensuring the game receives the dedicated attention it deserves. The team remains fully energized by the strong response to our recent reveals and is deeply focused on delivering a standout dark fantasy action RPG and a worthy successor to the Lords of the Fallen franchise. We are grateful for the continued passion, feedback, and support from our community, and we look forward to sharing more updates in the coming months.
Fans were really excited for Lords of the Fallen 2, but now we have to wait till 2027 to get our hands on this soulslike.
