MSI has announced the new PRO MAX EDGE AI Plus desktop, a compact system designed to bring powerful AI computing directly to the desktop. The new machine is built for developers, businesses, creators, and professionals who want to run AI applications locally without relying on cloud services. By processing AI tasks on the device itself, users can enjoy faster performance while keeping sensitive data private.

The PRO MAX EDGE AI Plus is powered by AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 300 Series processors, with configurations available up to the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395. The platform delivers up to 126 TOPS of AI performance, making it suitable for demanding AI workloads. It also features AMD RDNA 3.5 integrated graphics with up to 40 Compute Units and an AMD XDNA 2 Neural Processing Unit capable of delivering up to 50 TOPS of dedicated AI performance.

One of the biggest highlights of the new desktop is its unified memory architecture. Instead of being limited by dedicated graphics memory, the system uses shared memory that can be accessed by both the processor and graphics. The desktop supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000 unified memory, with up to 96GB available as variable graphics memory when required. This gives users enough memory to run large language models with up to 120 billion parameters while keeping AI processing on the local machine for better privacy and security.

Despite its powerful hardware, the PRO MAX EDGE AI Plus comes in a compact 4-liter chassis. MSI has equipped the system with its Frozr AI Pro Cooling solution and Glacier Armor thermal design to maintain stable temperatures during long AI workloads. The cooling system is designed to provide reliable performance even when the desktop is running demanding AI applications for extended periods.

MSI has also added support for multi-system clustering, allowing several PRO MAX EDGE AI Plus desktops to work together. This increases both computing power and available memory, making it possible to run AI models with up to 670 billion parameters locally. The feature is aimed at users who need larger AI workloads while keeping full control of their data without depending on external cloud services.
With the PRO MAX EDGE AI Plus, MSI is offering a powerful desktop for the growing demand for on-device AI computing. Its combination of AMD Ryzen AI Max+ processors, large unified memory, advanced cooling, and support for multi-system AI workloads makes it a strong option for professionals looking for fast, secure, and private AI performance on the desktop.
