Bend Studio’s next game isn’t Days Gone 2, and I’ll admit that stings a little.
According to a report citing anonymous insiders, the studio is already deep in production on a third-person co-op game. A reveal is reportedly planned for 2027, with a launch landing later that same year. None of it is official yet, so treat it with caution.
No Live-Service Days Gone, but likely PS5 only
The same insiders say it won’t be a live-service game. That’s notable given Sony’s renewed push for live-service titles, and it suggests Bend has been left to make the kind of game it wants. I’d call that a good sign.

The catch is the platform. Sony has been moving away from PC ports for its single-player games, so I’d expect this one to stay a PS5 exclusive. PC players will probably be waiting a long time, if it ever arrives at all.
Days Gone fans, meanwhile, will have to keep waiting for that sequel.
