KRAFTON has announced a second closed alpha test for PUBG: Black Budget, the extraction shooter currently in development, with access requests now open on Steam.
Another Shot at the Extraction Zone
No schedule has been confirmed yet, but KRAFTON has opened the request window, mirroring the approach taken ahead of the first closed alpha in December 2025. Players who apply will need to wait for the official dates to find out whether they’ve been granted access.
PUBG: Black Budget – Closed Alpha Teaser
The test will be available across North American, European, and Asian regions, with participation limited to PC players on Steam. As with the December test, there’s no NDA in place, players are free to stream, record, and share gameplay footage without restriction.
Friends welcome, servers permitting
Those granted access can invite up to two Steam friends to join them, provided the friendship has been active for at least 30 days. KRAFTON did note that the friend invite feature could be disabled should server load become too heavy, a reasonable precaution given that the first playtest peaked at around 10,000 concurrent users.

The December alpha offered a first look at Black Budget’s core loop, which blends PUBG’s battle royale DNA with tense extraction mechanics. Feedback from that test is expected to have shaped what players encounter in this next round.
With sign-ups now live, interested players can head to the game’s Steam page to submit their request.
