Without any formal announcement, the developer has released Leon Must Die Forever, the first DLC for Resident Evil Requiem, as a free update for all owners of the game. If you’ve been waiting for the story DLC that the team teased a while back, this should keep you busy in the meantime.

It’s a roguelite minigame mode, and a frenetic one at that. Unlocked after completing Requiem’s main story, Leon Must Die Forever throws players into a series of stages where randomised enhancer abilities keep each run feeling different. There’s a timer ticking down, colour-coded enemies, and damage numbers flying everywhere. Think Resident Evil 9’s core tension cranked up to an almost chaotic degree.
Capcom confirmed the mode via the official Resident Evil X account, alongside a 35-second trailer that gave the whole thing away before anyone had time to speculate further.
How to access it
The update is already live. Boot up Resident Evil Requiem, finish the main campaign if you haven’t already, and the mode unlocks automatically. No storefront purchases, no separate download, it’s just there.
This follows hints from Requiem’s producer that a minigame was on the way. Capcom delivered quietly, which honestly suits the series just fine.
