If you thought last year’s Summer Game Fest was impressive, Geoff Keighley reckons 2026 is about to top it.
The Summer Game Fest creator has taken to X to hype up Friday’s showcase, calling it the “biggest #SummerGameFest live show yet.” The post confirmed the start times too, 5pm ET / 2pm PT / 10pm BST, so there’s no excuse for missing it.
Keighley turns up the hype
Now, it’s worth noting that Keighley has form when it comes to grand promises. The Highguard debacle is still fresh in a few memories. But to be fair, Summer Game Fest has delivered some genuinely brilliant moments over the years, and the 2025 edition was a solid show in its own right.
Whether 2026 can clear that bar remains to be seen, but the conditions are there for something special.

A packed few days for gaming
The SGF Showcase isn’t arriving in isolation either. Sony’s State of Play on 2nd June is expected to be a big one, meaning the next few days could be absolutely stacked with announcements.
What’s going where is still unclear, but publishers typically hold their biggest reveals for the most-watched stages, and SGF has earned that status.
Keep an eye on TechLifestyler for full coverage as the show unfolds.
